Indoor pools require a heater in order for them to maintain a pleasant temperature, as they do not receive direct heat from the sun like outdoor pools do. An indoor pool heater will ensure you maintain maximum control over the heat of your pool.
Gas heaters are more expensive to install than electrical systems. However, electrical systems tend to cost more to run.
If you enjoy swimming early in the morning, you may want to consider keeping your pool heater on overnight. If you only enjoy swimming in the daytime or evening, keeping your pool heater on overnight is not always necessary.
